NTZ ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING

NTZ Architectural lighting is an architectural firm in Rio de Janeiro that started its activities in the lighting area in 2004; operates in several states and has maintained representatives since 2008 in São Paulo and Curitiba.

We develop artificial lighting projects, providing services to clients, companies and other architecture, landscaping and decoration offices in the segments: residential, commercial and corporate. In addition to enhancing the architecture of indoor and outdoor environments, landscaping, monuments and building facades, it develops exclusive solutions and luminaires, which provide a better visual effect, less investment in the acquisition of materials and lower maintenance costs.

NTZ uses specific software, ensuring that the customer has a better understanding of the suggested lighting effects; studies to reduce monthly and annual energy expenditure; and simulation of natural lighting.

We have an Intensive Lighting course, with practical exercises that demonstrate how much lighting can modify architecture, create different atmospheres in the same environment and generate different visual perceptions of the same object. What makes all the difference for those who participate!

Architect lighting designer Ugo Nitzsche graduated in 2004 from Santa Úrsula University, in Rio de Janeiro-RJ, as an Architect and Urbanist and started his journey as lighting  designer in 2001 working at LaLampe, one of the most renowned design and lighting stores in the country. Ugo has experience working in offices of important lighting designers - such as Maneco Quinderé and Nils Ericson - where he acquired technical and conceptual knowledge of the effects and applications of lighting in projects, before venturing on his own office - NTZ Architectural Lighting.

Ugo also lectured at universities in several states beyond Rio de Janeiro and became a professor of lighting engineering at the Architecture course both at Faculdade Silva e Souza and Santa Úrsula University from 2011 to 2015. From those experiences, Ugo developed the NTZ Intensive Lighitng Design Course, focused on a theoretical and practical approach and aiming to spread the word that light can impact architecture and interior design, creating different atmospheres and visual perceptions. Afterall, Lighting Design is not a small part of architectural design, but a world of its own, with tons to offer.

In 2005 Ugo Nitzsche was appointed as one of the new lighting talents in Brazil, by Lume Arquitetura - Brazil's first and most relevant magazine specialized in architectural lighting.
